View in gallery View in gallery Photographer David Burdeny isn’t afraid to get his feet wet or his lens chilly to capture his colossal artworks.  Burdeny’s subjects are the mammoth natural structures of the Antarctic, floating chunks of ice that span sheer city blocks– and that’s just what’s above the surface.  While these works of nature are truly wondrous, it is the lack of life within his images that provides a stark contrast.  Old Man Winter is very much alive, while Mother Nature seems to be eerily absent.
